Haircuts and Big Boy Beds

On Saturday the boys had their first professional haircut. I was concerned about how they would react, so we went to a cute salon that is marketed directly to little kids.  The chairs are not ordinary salon chairs. There is a Lighting McQueen car from the movie Cars, and a Thomas train from the Thomas the Tank Engine cartoon they love.  Thank goodness for the cool chairs, because the boys were both a little uncertain of what was being done to them!  In the end, they both did very well, and there were no tears.  Here are a few pictures to chronicle the big event.

Look at those mops!!!

What exactly are you doing to me?

And what on earth is this vibrating thing??? Just so you know, we're only letting this girl do this to us because she's cute.

Ah, much better...there are those handsome boys! No longer lost in unkempt nests!

J & O After Haircut

A note on the Big Boy Bed transition: these boys never cease to amaze me!!  The first day we had the new beds, there was a lot of running around and giggling (mostly Jack), which was pretty darn cute.  It didn't last too long, and the end result was Mark going in to tell them it was "night-night" time, and the boys then staying in their beds until they fell asleep.  There was one other nap-time where there was some running around, but they were a little over-tired, so that was our fault for not getting them to bed on time.  Even then, after going in the room to tell them it was time for bed a couple times, that was it.  Besides those two events, they have been perfect angels.  So far, no one has fallen asleep on the floor!  Fingers crossed it stays this easy!!  Here are a couple pics of their first nap in their Big Boy Beds:

We are the luckiest parents in the world!! But, we already knew that.
