Mark and I took the boys' birthday off so we could hang out and enjoy the day with them. We started off by giving them the presents from us, which consisted of a train table that came with all kinds of goodies, as well as some Thomas paraphernalia. It was so fun to watch them actually be excited about a gift! Up until now, it was more fun opening stuff and playing with the wrapping paper than the actual gift. Now they're finally old enough to appreciate what's inside. So much so that we've had to spread out the present opening because they keep getting distracted and wanting to play with each gift. We still have presents left to open!
I am ecstatic to say they are in love with the train set!
Owen loving Harold the "Helichoper."
Jack "zoomy, zoomying."
Grandma and Grandpa got them these little lawn chairs, so they're taking a break from all the fun to lounge. Adorable little chairs!
Helicopter coming down for a landing on Jack's head.
Also, that morning I made birthday cupcakes and couldn't resist letting the boys lick the beaters. Is that a faux pas of some sort to lick the beaters to your own birthday cake?
Oh well, they enjoyed it!!
Beaters are the BEST part!!! And what they will remember most. Don't you remember getting to lick the beater? --Auntie Marsha
