Mmmm, Home-Grown Strawberries

Last year Mark planted a garden, and was pleasantly surprised when he successfully grew lots of yummy things!  Strawberries were among the items planted, however, we didn't get many last year.  We kind of forgot about the garden this spring, but noticed that the strawberries had since taken on a mind of their own.  With the exception of a few garlic bulbs, they were the only plant that returned this spring with no help from us, and pretty much took over the entire garden area.

They have been so delicious, and the boys, of course, love them.  It can be a challenge to keep them away sometimes, as they don't quite get the idea that strawberries must be left on the vine until they're a deep red, but even the ones that are not completely ripe are yummy.  Yesterday, Singing Grandma was over visiting, and I took a few pictures of them assisting her with the picking.

Hmmm, which one do we go for first?
