The Pumpkin Patch...and More Goats

Here in Livermore, we have a great little pumpkin patch called Joan's Farm & Pumpkin Patch. We took the boys a couple weeks ago to pick out their first pumpkins, and had a great time.  It was cute to see the boys try to narrow down which pumpkin they wanted out of the million that were there. Their choice, of course, changed with every step so eventually we had to help them along.

This picture is from when we first got there. They're trying to figure out where to start.

In no time at all, they were rummaging through pumpkins to find the perfect one. Jack's excitement led to the inevitable crazy fingers.

In looking back at these pictures, I thought Owen was having a little conversation with this pumpkin. However, Mark reminded me that he was, in fact, conversing with a fly rather than the pumpkin. He was telling the fly to shoo, and to stop bothering the pumpkin.

In addition to the pumpkins, there were animals to see. The boys were most excited by the goats, whom they got to feed.  There was no milking this time.
