Disney Characters

One of the boys' favorite things about Disneyland was the Characters. They would get so excited anytime we saw one, and it was all they could do to wait in line to meet them. As much as they loved them, it was hard to get a posed picture with everyone smiling.   They're still not quite sure what the whole pose-and-smile thing is all about. They would run up, give the character a hug, kiss, or high-five, and then turn to run back. We had to keep telling them to go back and look at Mommy. That resulted in them standing there not quite sure what to do, so we have a lot of blank-faced pictures of them standing with the characters.

Pluto was the first character we met, and one of our favorites.



Immediately following was Goofy.







The next day, we met Mickey after he put on a little show for us. Did you know he's the Mayor of Toon Town? I didn't realize Toon Town had a Mayor, but now I'm all the wiser.







Next we ran into Dale, who, along with Chip, is probably our second favorite.



And now with Dale's second half...twins all around!



We then met Minnie, the first lady, who Jack has a bit of a crush on. When you ask if he likes Minnie, he looks down, and very shyly says "yeah."



And finally, drum roll......DONALD DUCK!!! Our very favorite! Jack and Owen love Donald so much (I can't recall who started the Donald obsession), that they usually request that Mark or I sing them a "Donald" song before bed. To honor this request, we've begun singing Donald versions of classic nursery rhymes like, "Donald on the Bus" or singing Donald Duck over and over to the "Three Blind Mice" tune.
